Artist’s Note

There’s magic which happens when a person loves an animal and the animal loves them back. The Moore Count Hounds in North Carolina are full of that particular kind of magic, and it’s a privilege to be around them. I created this painting after a spending a morning out hound walking with them, an experience that felt like I was stepping through the pages of a fairytale.
