Artist’s Note

I am constantly inspired by animals' unique characters and expressions. I paint their portraits as if they were people, observing their features and body language. Foxes are never merely animals to me — they each have unique personalities. I imagined this fox as an old warrior, now a warden of the woodlands he inhabits. His quiet observation and alert posture speak to his storied past.
